Dr. John Cronan

Healthcare Radiology Expert

As Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the Brown University School of Medicine, Dr. Cronan serves as Radiologist-in-Chief at the Rhode Island Hospital and is chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. With over 100 publications, Dr. Cronan is a nationally recognized expert in the field of uroradiology, ultrasound, non-vascular interventional procedures, particularly image-guided percutaneous needle biopsies.

Dr. Cronan has been awarded fellowship positions at The Society of Uroradiology, The American College of Radiology, and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He acted as in executive roles at the New England Roentgen Ray Society from 1990 - 1996, during which time he served as President (1995-1996). Dr. Cronan was also an Alternate Councilor at the Rhode Island Radiological Society from 1992 - 1994.

Dr. John Cronan earned a Medical Degree at Albany Medical College and an Undergraduate Degree from Providence College. His residency was in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale University, and he has a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
